6 TIPS for a morning routine that sets you up for a great day
1. Hydrate
Drink a glass of warm water and lemon juice to hydrate first thing, it also helps removal of toxins and aids a clear complexion. Even better, add a little organic apple cider vinegar.
2. Morning exercise
Going for a 30 minute walk out in the fresh morning air helps to clear your mind, boosts mental health by helping you to feel more energised and happier, and enhances a positive attitude in readiness to take on the day, and any challenges it might bring.
3. Morning skin care ritual
a) Shower with something that cares for your skin and provides morning support such as revitalising and luxurious Stone Pine Sea Salt Cleansing Gel or refreshing Shower Cream with lemon lemongrass.
b) Apply body lotion. At this time of year our favourites are Quince Hydrating Milk and Lemon Lemongrass Vitalising Body Milk or Body Oil.
b) Compress and hydrate your skin for a deeper cleanse, that will leave your skin feeling silky soft.
b) Cleanse in the morning with Cleansing Cream. Creamy almond meal, calendula, chamomile and anthyllis deeply cleanse, balance and revitalise your skin. Almond meal is particularly adept at binding to dirt and eliminations from the night time elimination phase of your skin.
b) Close eyes and mist Facial Toner or Clarifying Toner and press into your skin with the palms of your hands. Dr. Hauschka Toners aid absorption of your Moisturiser and also ensure even and economical application of your Moisturiser.
c) Warm a pea size of Moisturiser, or 1-2 pumps Revitalising Day Lotion or 2-3 drops Clarifying Day Oil between the palms of your hands to warm the product and melt any waxes, then apply to skin that’s still moist from Toner.
4. Eat a healthy, nutritious breakfast
For energy, focus and concentration you need a nutritious breakfast to set you up for the day. Ensure you’re keeping well hydrated during the day as well.
5. Tidy and clear
Tidy your desk, if you didn’t do it the day before. Clear your inbox as soon as you get to work and deal with anything urgent straight away.
6. Set your goals
Write down your priorities for the day, then focusing on one task at a time, to completion if possible, work your way through your list, ticking off as you go. By the end of the work day look back with satisfaction at all you’ve accomplished.
We asked our Team member, Tania, what are her top tips are for the morning. “I’m a stickler for my morning skin care ritual. Taking that mindfulness moment to compress and hydrate my skin, along with the 3 step skin care ritual, encompassing cleansing, toning and moisturising, to nourish my skin with ingredients that are loaded with antioxidants, and to protect my skin for the day ahead. If I don’t do that I feel out of sorts all day. It does more for me than a skin care ritual. My other morning must do is apply our Lip Balm, love that product! When I apply my lippy some time later it just glides on.
I’m on my feet a lot during the week, so by the latter stages I’m reaching for Hydrating Foot Cream because it feels like you’re walking on air, plus it keeps my heels looking good. Sometimes, as a feet treat, after applying I wrap my feet in a warm towel for a couple of minutes or so. The other product I always reach for is Revitalising Leg & Arm Tonic and the last thing I do before I dash out the door is apply Neem Nail & Cuticle Oil, so while I’m driving to my first appointment it’s absorbing, nourishing my nails.”
